Job summary

Blue Shield of CA is seeking a Principal Finance Analyst to join the Operations Finance team. This role partners with executive leadership, manages two individual contributors, and stewards finances across operations to improve cost, margin, cash and productivity.

You will lead cross-functional initiatives, define KPI strategy, and deliver enterprise-level reporting and decision support using advanced Excel and core finance systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or HS diploma with 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
• 10+ years of progressive finance analytics experience and enterprise-level reporting
• Proven leadership of cross-functional initiatives with measurable outcomes
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint
• Hands-on experience with core finance systems and data sources such as Oracle/ERP, Essbase/EPM, and related reporting processes

Responsibilities

• Lead finance partnership for two critical business units and oversee two ICs
• Serve as trusted advisor to executive operations leadership and drive strategic initiatives to improve cost, margin, cash and productivity
