Job summary

ASM Global-SMG's Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia seeks an Assistant Director of Operations to oversee daily activities, ensure facility readiness for events, and uphold high service standards. The role directs the Set-Up Services team and partners with Operations Managers to execute duties across departments.

You will supervise staff, enforce safety policies, and contribute to budget planning while coordinating vendor, contractor, and internal resources to support events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Management or Maintenance Engineering; additional experience may substitute education.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience supervising or managing in a similar facility.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Directs, supervises, and schedules the Event Set-Up Services portion of the Department.
• Coordinates Operations activities with other departments and event-related contractors.
• Oversees equipment storage and cleanliness of the Pennsylvania Convention Center.
• Implements and updates facility rules, regulations, and department policies.
• Provides clear, concise communication to General Foreman and Foreman and other departments.
• Assists in annual operating budget preparation and long-range repair planning.
