Job summary

asmglobal is seeking an Assistant Director of Operations to manage daily facility and event operations at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. You will lead the Set-Up Services team, coordinate with operations managers and contractors, and enforce safety, policies, and cost controls.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Management or Maintenance Engineering, supervisory experience, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or technical college in management or maintenance engineering.
• Substitution of education with additional experience is acceptable.
• Experience supervising or managing in a similar facility is required.

Responsibilities

• Directs and schedules Event Set-Up Services within the department.
• Coordinate operations with other departments and contractors.
• Maintain equipment storage and cleanliness standards.
• Assist in annual and long-range budget planning.
• Oversee safety, risk management, and training programs.
• Ensure effective communication with foreman and other teams.
• Monitor preventive maintenance and inventory records.
• Negotiate service agreements and vendor relations.
• Support energy-saving and special project coordination.
