Job summary

University Hospitals seeks a Sr Operations Engineer to drive healthcare transformation through VIP initiatives across UH System and Community Hospitals. You will coach cross-functional teams, analyze processes, and design metrics to quantify patient outcomes and financial benefits.

Role requires 5+ years in process redesign within healthcare, familiarity with Lean Six Sigma, and strong stakeholder communication skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
5+ years' experience in process redesign and ROI initiatives.
5+ years of healthcare experience preferred.
Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; knowledge of Minitab preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide VIP support to UH System Executives and hospital VIP teams.
Coach Operations Engineers, Analysts and Interns.
Analyze current processes and identify PI opportunities.
Develop metrics to validate initiative success (safety, quality, satisfaction, financial).
Coordinate financial benefit measurements with Finance and facility leads.
Ensure timely reporting of results to executive forums.
Identify risks and manage change controls for initiatives.
Plan and execute Kaizen events and continuous improvement projects.
