Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Operations Engineer to lead and manage cross-functional projects for sortation and distribution solutions. You will plan, implement, and optimize facility network infrastructure, including new builds, retrofits, expansions, and program initiatives.

You will work with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely handover, manage schedules, risks, and scope, and drive system and equipment design for large-scale distribution centers worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or a STEM field
• 8+ years of experience in project/engineering roles involving cross-functional teams
• Experience managing lifecycle of cross-functional projects, automated equipment or integrated systems
• CAD software experience (AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360)

Responsibilities

• Independently manage complex project lifecycles across organizations and geographies.
• Participate in engineering reviews, impacting system solutions, architecture, and facility processes.
• Set priorities, milestones, and schedules with internal teams, stakeholders, and vendors.
• Lead execution of system designs and automated equipment per standards; perform installation, throughput, and safety qualifications.
• Document decisions and action items; ensure alignment and timely communications to leadership.
• Manage change orders, purchase orders, and invoice approvals efficiently.
