Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking an Operations Engineer to lead and manage cross-functional projects spanning sortation and distribution networks. You will partner with internal teams and external vendors to deliver on time, while ensuring safety, quality and cost targets across multiple facilities, including new builds, retrofits and expansions.

You will drive meetings, manage schedules, document decisions, and communicate progress to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products & applications.
• Experience in construction or project management.
• Knowledge of MS Excel, AutoCAD, MS Project, and software for technical document writing such as Visio, Word, or PowerPoint.
• 2+ years of vendor management experience.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing efforts, transportation/logistics and/or fulfillment/distribution centers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all execution efforts in delivering systems and automated equipment designs per established standards and guidelines.
• Perform equipment/systems installation, throughput and safety qualifications.
• Lead effective meetings and document decisions and next steps for alignment with stakeholders.
• Communicate project status, risk analysis and mitigation plans to leadership.
