Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Operations Engineer to lead cross-functional projects across the facility network, delivering end-to-end solutions for sortation and distribution. You will coordinate with internal teams and external vendors, drive milestones, manage budgets and safety qualifications, and ensure high standards throughout the lifecycle of each project.

The role requires thoughtful leadership, detailed planning, and the ability to travel up to 80% domestically.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products & applications.
• Experience in construction or project management.

Responsibilities

• Work independently with internal and external teams to manage the lifecycle of challenging projects and deliver objectives.
• Participate in firm engineering reviews and influence proposed solutions across systems architectures and facility processes.
• Coordinate with internal teams, stakeholders and external vendors to set priorities, milestones, and schedules to meet deadlines.
• Lead and coordinate execution efforts delivering system and equipment designs per standards; perform installations, qualifications, and bottleneck removal.
• Lead meetings with clear objectives; document discussions, decisions and next steps to align with stakeholders.
• Communicate project status, risk analyses and mitigation plans; provide concise leadership-ready summaries.
• Articulate system designs and specifications to internal customers and partner teams.
• Manage change orders, purchase orders and invoice approvals efficiently.
• Build strong working relationships across multiple projects with stakeholders.
• Identify and drive process improvements to boost engineering and cross-team efficiency.
• Travel up to 80% domestically, with periods of weeks away as needed.
