Job summary

PG&E in Oakland is seeking an Operations Data Analyst to extract and analyze operations data for leadership support and ad hoc requests. You will maintain and enhance metric databases and support the Substation Operations & System Inspections group.

Hybrid role, located in PG&E service territory with some in-office requirements. You will build automated data pipelines, create dashboards, and present findings to clients across functions.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Marketing, Business, CS, Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of related work experience.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Familiarity with utility operations.
• Advanced Excel/Access, SQL, Python, Power BI and Palantir Foundry.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex data analysis projects from initial request to results, ensuring on-time delivery.
• Design data processes, cleanse data and automate reporting for clarity and reliability.
• Create data extracts and transfers between databases to support analyses.
• Develop dashboards and reports to track organizational performance and inform decisions.
• Lead and mentor junior team members and influence stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Directors and Managers to drive strategic decisions.
• Apply advanced statistics to generate ad hoc insights and trends.
• Drive operational efficiencies through data-driven insights.
