Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a Sr Operations Controlling Associate to act as a trusted financial partner to Operations leadership. The role covers financial reporting, forecasting, and cost optimization for a 13 GW portfolio of wind, solar and storage assets across multiple sites.

The candidate will drive analyses, support standardization of processes, and partner with asset managers and technical teams to improve asset performance and financial outcomes. Strong FP&A background is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Finance / Accounting / Economics / Business or equivalent professional experience.
• CPA is preferred, but not required.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in FP&A or renewable energy sectors preferred.
• Strong accounting knowledge; analytical mindset and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly and quarterly financial reporting for a portfolio of assets (Onshore Wind, Solar, Energy Storage).
• Manage the full plan and forecast lifecycle from assumptions to analysis and review.
• Perform variance analyses to explain trends in operating costs and asset performance.
• Coordinate with Controlling subteams for reporting standards and intercompany allocations.
• Present performance results and forecasts to Operations and Asset Management leadership.
• Track optimization efforts to evaluate cost-saving ideas and capex initiatives.
• Support automation, data quality, and reporting in SAP, Power BI, and related tools.
• Partner with Site Operations and Asset Management to translate plans into OpEx.
