Job summary

Celestica seeks a Senior Lead Engineer, Software 2 to drive OpenBMC-based platform management for high-performance networking and compute platforms. You will lead design, implementation and upstream contributions with Linux Foundation OpenBMC and Redfish interfaces.

You will collaborate with hardware and manufacturing teams, own Yocto, U-Boot, kernel ports, device trees, and firmware update flows, and mentor engineers while delivering robust, secure remote management solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience.
• 6–12 years of engineering experience.
• Strong background in OpenBMC platform management.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development and implementation of OpenBMC-based solutions.
• Provide technical leadership to a team of engineers.
• Own platform enablement on OpenBMC stack (Yocto, U-Boot, kernel, device tree).
• Develop remote management interfaces, primarily Redfish, with debugging interfaces like SSH.
• Implement platform management features: power, telemetry, thermal, firmware update flows; security and diagnostics.
• Collaborate with hardware and manufacturing teams on bring-up and qualification.
