Job summary

Hyve Solutions in Fremont, CA is seeking a Senior firmware engineer to own the OpenBMC firmware architecture for hyperscale AI server platforms. You will define the manageability stack, Redfish/IPMI interfaces, and telemetry, collaborating with hardware and hyperscaler customers to enable production deployments.

Required are 10+ years in embedded firmware, strong C/C++, embedded Linux, and hands-on OpenBMC experience. This role emphasizes security, reliability, and cross-functional leadership.

Qualifications

• 10+ years embedded/firmware development including BMC/platform management work.
• Hands-on OpenBMC development and delivering server-class firmware to production.
• Strong C/C++ and embedded Linux skills with security focus.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the OpenBMC-based firmware architecture for AI/GPU server platforms.
• Develop and integrate power, thermal, fan-control, and sensor monitoring firmware.
• Implement secure boot, firmware update/recovery, RoT integration and robust error handling.
• Lead firmware bring-up across EVT/DVT/PVT and drive root-cause analysis.
• Deliver tooling for factory provisioning, diagnostics, and fleet deployment.
• Set firmware development methodology, review code, and mentor engineers.
