Job summary

Kinross is seeking a Senior Mine Engineer (Long Range) for its Nevada operations to develop, maintain, and optimize life-of-mine plans. You will work with technical services, geology, and site management to maximize shareholder value while meeting safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mining or related discipline.
• 5+ years of surface mining experience.
• Knowledge of open pit mining engineering principles.
• Experience with mine design software (MineSight, Deswik, Vulcan, Studio NPVS).
• Strong communication and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Run pit optimizations and support mineral inventory reporting requirements.
• Design open pits, waste dumps, haul roads and drainage; review block models.
• Integrate short- and long-term plans; support feasibility studies (NI 43-101).
• Reconcile actual vs. planned production and maximize NPV.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams for technically sound plans.
• Support safety culture and cross-rotation development within Technical Services.
