Job summary

RTX in Huntsville, AL is seeking a results-driven Software Test Engineer to review software requirements, write test objectives, and design manual and automated test cases for on-site lab environments. You will execute tests, analyze results against requirements, and document discrepancies while collaborating with test engineers and developers to ensure seamless integration.

Qualified candidates typically hold a STEM bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience, ability to obtain a U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM and at least 8 years of experience
• Experience with software validation, verification, requirements analysis and testing
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Secret security clearance
• U.S. citizenship required for security clearance eligibility

Responsibilities

• Review software requirements to ensure clarity and testability
• Write test objectives guiding the testing process and coverage
• Design manual and automated test cases based on objectives
• Execute tests in the on-site lab environment
• Analyze test results relative to requirements and document discrepancies
• Collaborate with test engineers and developers for seamless integration
• On-site presence; interaction with Systems Design and Software teams
• Some light travel may be required
