Job summary

TalentCompass is seeking a Controls Commissioning Onsite Supervisor to lead onsite commissioning activities for automated material-handling solutions and production lines. You will coordinate with controls engineering, electrical engineering, installation and project management to ensure projects meet specifications and timelines.

This role requires 5+ years in controls engineering with PLC/HMI expertise and the ability to read electrical and AutoCAD drawings.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Controls Engineering experience with leadership
• Bachelor’s degree in a controls-related field or equivalent experience
• Strong knowledge of PLCs and HMIs in industrial automation
• Ability to read electrical drawings and AutoCAD drawings
• Formal/informal leadership in controls engineering or commissioning

Responsibilities

• Lead onsite commissioning activities for automated material-handling systems and production lines.
• Coordinate commissioning plans and schedules with project manager to maintain timelines.
• Ensure activities follow safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Perform system testing, I/O checks, and full system operation verification.
• Provide project updates and manage client handovers and questions.
• Travel extensively to customer sites, domestically and internationally.
