Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Resident Engineer/Onsite A/E Technical Lead to support the Navy’s M2D2 recapitalization at PSNS & IMF in Bremerton, WA. The role begins in WSP’s Tacoma or Seattle office in 2026 Q3/Q4 and transitions to full-time onsite in 2027 at PSNS & IMF.

You will provide construction-phase technical review, risk identification, and coordination with Designer-of-Record teams, NAVFAC and NAVSEA stakeholders, ensuring contract alignment and field issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, or equivalent.
• 12+ years of relevant experience in large complex construction programs with resident engineering or A/E services.
• U.S. citizenship required; ability to obtain/maintain U.S. Government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior onsite A/E technical leadership for a Navy mega-project.
• Review submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, tech proposals, and design change packages for contract consistency.
• Coordinate technical responses with Designer-of-Record discipline leads and home-office A/E teams.
• Evaluate constructability, operability, and impacts to cost, schedule, and safety.
• Support QA teams through technical interpretation of design intent and contract requirements.
• Mentor onsite technical staff and promote consistent review practices and documentation standards.
