Job summary

Amgen Inc. is seeking a Senior Oncology Specialist to act as the primary customer contact, delivering clinical knowledge about Amgen’s cancer therapies to medical professionals.

The role focuses on building relationships, communicating clinical and economic benefits, and achieving territory sales targets across oncology indications. Ideal candidates have oncology sales experience, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to manage accounts, negotiate access, and implement territory plans

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales related
• Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales related
• High school diploma / GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales related

Responsibilities

• Create and execute on a comprehensive territory plan, including delivering branded sales messages, executing planned programs, scheduling and following-up with medical educational programs, and achieving or exceeding sales targets.
• Utilize internal and external relationships to service and manage accounts, including ensuring product access, resolving/triage reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts.
• Craft an effective marketing strategy to aid in driving sales.
• Analyze business effectiveness of sales activities and territory analysis, and develop territory plans with your District Manager.
• Partner with colleagues to share best practices and grow through continuous curiosity and learning.
