Job summary

Merck is seeking an Associate Director Oncology Treatment Site Lead to educate and support treatment sites across a mid-Atlantic geography, including MD, CA, DC and DE. The role focuses on operational and process support rather than clinical treatment information.

Responsibilities include onboarding, education of site stakeholders, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring reliable end-to-end product execution with timely issue resolution. Travel up to 50% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in healthcare or life sciences, including sales, account management, or provider operations/administration.
• Strong understanding of the healthcare ecosystem.
• Proven track record of working with provider organizations and operational stakeholders to implement workflows for complex therapies.
• Ability to operate effectively in “white space” environments with evolving processes, unclear paths, and multiple dependencies.
• Strong operational problem-solving skills, including identifying process friction points, diagnosing root causes, and coordinating next steps with appropriate stakeholders.
• Ability to travel ~50%.

Responsibilities

• Lead onboarding and readiness support for product treatment sites, educating on workflow, system setup, and operational requirements.
• Deliver process-focused education for site stakeholders using approved resources.
• Help ensure treatment sites have operational capabilities for consistent execution of end-to-end journey.
• Serve as the product operational SME for assigned sites and provide support on product process, operations, and logistics.
• Act as primary contact for operational issues, triaging and addressing issues through cross-functional coordination.
• Collaborate with cross-functional oncology field teams to support coordinated engagement and consistent site experience.
• Build trusted relationships with site operational leaders through reliable operational support.
• Utilize data and dashboards to assess site metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Synthesize site feedback to help HQ enhance communication and workflows.
