Job summary

Merck is seeking an Associate Director Oncology Treatment Site Lead to educate and support cancer treatment sites through onboarding, readiness, and steady-state operations. You will coordinate across functions to ensure end-to-end execution and issue resolution, while traveling to sites as needed.

This field-based, non-promotional role focuses on operational and process support, with responsibility for the Central Plains geography. A bachelor’s degree and healthcare experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of 5 years of healthcare or life sciences experience, including sales, account management, or provider operations/administration.
• Strong understanding of the healthcare ecosystem.
• Proven track record of working with provider organizations and operational stakeholders to implement workflows for complex therapies.
• Ability to operate in evolving processes with multiple dependencies.
• Strong operational problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
• Ability to build meaningful relationships with operational stakeholders at treatment sites.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across cultures and disciplines.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
• Willingness to travel ~50%.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead onboarding and readiness for product treatment sites, educating on workflow, system setup, and operational requirements.
• Deliver process-focused education for site stakeholders using approved resources for initial implementation and ongoing support.
• Ensure treatment sites have capabilities for end-to-end product execution.
• Act as the product operations SME for assigned sites and provide support on process, operations, and logistics.
• Primary contact for operational issues; triage and coordinate across functions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional oncology field teams to support coordinated engagement and consistent site experiences.
• Build trusted relationships with site leaders by providing reliable operational support.
• Use data dashboards to assess site metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
• Synthesize site feedback to HQ to improve communications and workflows.
