Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: Current NY Nurse licensure and Nurse Practitioner NY registration.
• Master's Degree in Nursing is required.
• Certification by ANCC or equivalent board certification for NPs in a clinical area.
• Basic Life Support certification required (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care using nursing process and standards of care.
• Diagnose illness and conditions and perform therapeutic and prescriptive measures.
• Collaborate with physician and interdisciplinary team to plan and coordinate care.
• Monitor patient outcomes and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Prescribe medications and medical equipment per practice protocol and NYS law.
