Job summary

AbbVie is seeking an Oncology Nurse Educator to support education for allied healthcare professionals across hematology and oncology using AbbVie therapies. The role focuses on patient management, education on dosing and adverse events, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize clinical outcomes.

This field-based position requires living within a reasonable distance of the territory, with travel up to 50% regionally and nationally.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in nursing is required; Master’s in PA, NP, or CNS preferred.
Current active health care practitioner license.
7+ years clinical oncology/hematology experience; recent hematology work preferred.
Experience in academic or community oncology with Hematology/Oncology patients.
Willingness to travel up to 50% regionally/nationally.
Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Engage with allied health care professionals to provide product and disease education.
Develop customized education plans based on account dynamics and clinical insights.
Educate on patient identification and use of approved therapies for hematologic and solid tumors.
Teach administration, dosing, adverse event management, and patient management protocols.
Present at internal national, regional, and local meetings; support exhibit activities.
Collaborate across sales, marketing, clinical operations, and medical teams.
