Job summary

Gemini is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Security) to advance cryptographic software and hardware security for digital assets. You will work with TPMs, HSMs and TEEs, building secure signing and key storage systems while collaborating across Security Operations, Custody, and Wallet teams.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in software security, strong cryptography knowledge, and hands-on experience with TPM/HSM/TEE devices. This role is based in New York and offers a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Hands-on software security development in OS, kernel, embedded or cryptographic areas.
• Experience with hardware security modules or TPMs/TEEs/secure enclaves.
• Security-focused networking and cryptography expertise.
• Ability to turn security theory into production code.
• Proficiency in Python, Ruby or similar scripting languages.
• Strong root-cause analysis and debugging skills.
• Experience mentoring engineering teams on secure practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Implement software applications including key storage, signing, encryption, or secure boot.
• Design and maintain security solutions for digital assets.
• Collaborate with security engineers to enhance signing infrastructure for security and scalability.
• Integrate hardware security mechanisms into Gemini software infrastructure.
• Work with TPM/HSM/TEE and related hardware key storage mechanisms.
• Develop tools that embed security into systems and processes.
• Participate in disaster recovery scenarios to validate operability.
