Gemini is seeking a Senior Manager of Software Engineering to lead technical strategy, build scalable systems, and grow high-performing teams. You will partner with product leadership to deliver on business goals while maintaining top-tier security and availability.

You will oversee engineering processes, mentor engineers, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced crypto fintech environment, balancing innovation with regulatory rigor. This role offers hybrid work across US hubs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of software development experience with languages such as Java, C++ or Scala.
• 4+ years of experience managing teams of software engineers in a high precision, regulated industry.
• Proven track record of developing and maintaining large-scale, distributed systems.
• Experience with agile development methodologies and a commitment to following best practices in code health, testing, and maintainability.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and microservices architecture.

Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Develop and maintain an engineering roadmap and co-develop the technical strategy that will continue to drive innovation and large-scale growth.
• Program Management and Engineering Execution: Ensure the product vision is realized with excellence in execution and secure, available systems.
• Recruiting and Team-Building: Lead scaling of engineering teams through recruiting and talent development.
• Engineering Processes and Practices: Develop methodologies for rapid iteration and high-quality delivery with automated build, test, and deploy.
• Technology Management: Lead, mentor engineers; manage goals, performance feedback, and career growth.
