Job summary

IBM Consulting is seeking a Transition Manager to lead the transfer of SOW requirements from legacy contracts to the new program, coordinating with sponsors and cross-functional teams to ensure on-time, on-budget transitions that meet quality standards.

This on-site, five-days-per-week role requires close collaboration with developers, testers and infrastructure staff, weekly status reviews, risk mitigation, and clear communication to clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum ten (10) years of experience in managing transitions for software applications.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience analyzing complex technical issues and developing effective solutions.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience with IT service management frameworks and methodologies (ITIL, Agile, CMMI).
• Certified Scrum Master
• Minimum five (5) years in managing transitions for large-scale software applications for enterprise-level systems
• Must have TS/SCI W/FSP day 1

Your Role And Responsibilities

The Transition Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for transitioning requirements from multiple legacy contracts to the new Program. During transition periods, the Transition Manager shall be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the transition and meeting weekly with the Sponsor to review contract and program/project status. The Transition Manager role is temporary and will be required only during transition periods to ensure a seamless transfer of Statement of Work (SOW) requirements from legacy contracts to the new program.

\"Leaders are expected to spend time with their teams and clients in the workplace, subject to business needs. This role is designated as fully on-site and requires physical presence in the workplace five (5) days per week.\"

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

• Minimum ten (10) years of experience in managing transitions for software applications, with a proven track record of delivering complex transitions on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.


• Minimum three (3) Experience analyzing complex technical issues and developing effective solutions.


• Minimum three (3) years of Experience with IT service management frameworks and methodologies, such as ITIL, Agile, and/or CMMI. Experience in managing cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, infrastructure specialists, and other stakeholders.
