Job summary

Bryan Construction is seeking a Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) to implement and enforce the project Safety and Health Plan on federal construction projects, ensuring compliance with EM 385-1-1, OSHA, and all applicable safety requirements. The SSHO will lead inspections, safety meetings, and coordinate with USACE and subcontractors to maintain a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in safety, construction management, or a related field.
• CHST designation and OSHA 500 certification are preferred.
• USACE and EM-385-1-1 experience is highly desirable.
• Experience developing and maintaining safety programs and plans.
• Proficient in safety documentation, incident tracking, and audits.

Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce the project Safety and Health Plan on federal construction sites.
• Conduct daily site inspections and lead safety meetings with teams.
• Coordinate with USACE, subs, and management to maintain compliance.
• Prepare and maintain safety records, SWPPP, and incident reports.
• Procure PPE, train staff, and conduct safety certifications and drills.
