Job summary

Pacific Federal Management (PFM) seeks a Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) to provide safety leadership on construction projects. The SSHO ensures compliance with OSHA regulations, USACE EM 385-1-1, and company safety policies while coordinating with project teams.

You will conduct job site inspections, lead safety meetings, review AHAs, and implement corrective actions to prevent incidents while sustaining a strong safety culture across active sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of safety experience in construction, industrial, and/or environmental settings.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction or General Industry training, as applicable.
• 40-Hour EM 385-1-1 training preferred.
• BCSP credentials such as STS, STS-C, CHST, ASP, or CSP preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet project-specific safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day safety oversight and support for construction projects.
• Conduct routine jobsite inspections, safety observations, and walkthroughs.
• Identify hazards and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented.
• Develop, review, and maintain AHAs, APPs, and other safety documentation.
• Lead daily safety briefings, toolbox talks, orientations, and safety training.
• Monitor high-risk activities and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
