Job summary

Sheakley Workforce Staffing seeks a Senior Safety Manager for an on-site leadership role on a Kuna, Idaho project. You will lead safety across high-risk construction activities, identify hazards before work, verify critical controls, and ensure OSHA/NFPA70E compliance while coordinating with project leadership.

The role demands field presence, strong communication, and the ability to address unsafe conditions in real time.

Qualifications

• OSHA 500 or OSHA 510 completion.
• NFPA 70E training or certification.
• Current First Aid, CPR, and AED certification.
• Minimum three years of construction safety experience.
• Experience supporting electrical construction activities.
• Experience overseeing trenching, excavation, heavy equipment, or crane and rigging operations.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards.
• Demonstrated ability to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Strong written documentation and reporting capabilities.
• Professional communication skills and confidence working with project leadership.
• Ability to work 60+ hours per week and five to six days per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily, on-site safety leadership for all assigned construction activities.
• Monitor medium-voltage electrical work and verify NFPA 70E compliance.
• Evaluate trenching/excavation activities and protective systems.
• Oversee crane operations, rigging, critical lifts, and material handling.
• Monitor forklift, aerial lift, and heavy-equipment operations.
• Conduct jobsite inspections, safety audits, and hazard assessments.
• Review JHAs, pre-task plans, permits, and high-risk work documentation.
• Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, orientations, and coaching.
• Coordinate with field supervision to address safety concerns without disrupting production.
• Investigate incidents and complete root-cause analysis with corrective actions.
• Maintain client-ready safety records and report safety performance.
