Job summary

Sheakley Workforce Staffing is seeking a Construction Safety Manager for a Sandusky, OH project. The role provides hands-on safety oversight during utility and concrete construction with a focus on hazard identification, compliance, and safe execution of critical site activities.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in construction safety, data center or large commercial build experience, OSHA 30, and a BCSP credential or related degree.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of construction safety experience.
• Data center or large commercial building construction experience required.
• Degree in EHS or related field or BCSP credential.
• OSHA 30 Construction Certification.
• Current CPR/First Aid/AED within past 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily field safety oversight for utility and concrete construction operations.
• Maintain a highly visible field presence in active work areas.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, hazard assessments, and risk reviews.
• Review JHAs, AHAs, permits, and pre-task plans; ensure OSHA compliance.
• Coordinate safety actions with project management, supervision, and subcontractors.
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
