Job summary

NextPhase Medical Devices LLC in Mansfield, MA, is hiring an Assembly Technician III to complete production assembly tasks and meet schedules while upholding quality. You will assemble medical devices using hand and power tools, soldering irons, fixtures, and instructions, and may coach and lead other assemblers.

The role requires strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, and on-site work.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and procedures.
• Follow wire run diagrams for electro-mechanical systems.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Use of manual and electronic torque tools and other wrenches.
• Soldering and wiring tasks required.
• PCBA handling, integration, and connectivity.
• Understand and apply ESD practices.
• Assemble pneumatic and fluidic systems with pumps and tubing.
• Use inspection tools like calipers and height gauges.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical assemblies.
• Microscopes may be used for small assemblies.
• Ultrasonic cleaning for cleaning processes.
• Communicate effectively and work well with others.
• Maintain attention to detail and time management.

Responsibilities

• Support Company Quality System requirements.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Follow SOPs and written work instructions.
• Communicate openly with team members.
• Lead production assemblers to meet quality and production goals.
• Complete required regulatory documentation.
• Perform chassis and final build levels of assembly.
• Understand blueprints and hardware call outs.
• Ability to perform soldering tasks.
• Report quality, process, equipment, material, and labor issues.
• Support continuous improvement with supervision.
• Take on special projects as assigned.
• Wiring of electronics and complex assemblies.
• Other duties as assigned.
