Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Manufacturing Assembler for a MedTech client in Olathe, Kansas. You will assemble device components and subassemblies using hand tools and follow work instructions to meet quality and FDA/ISO requirements.

You will perform soldering, document manufacturing data in ERP, support packing, labeling, and continuous improvement, with opportunities to grow into senior roles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous assembly, soldering, inspection, or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use common hand tools.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to perform detailed assembly work requiring visual inspection and fine motor skills.
• Ability to occasionally lift and move materials up to 40 pounds.
• Experience in medical device manufacturing or another regulated industry.
• Familiarity with IPC-A-610 and/or IPC J-STD-001 standards.
• Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing documentation.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.

The Manufacturing Assembler is responsible for assembling medical device components, subassemblies, and finished products in accordance with approved work instructions, quality requirements, and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble medical device components and subassemblies using hand tools such as torque drivers, screwdrivers, wrenches, and pliers.
• Perform assembly and soldering activities by following detailed work instructions and procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Accurately complete production transactions in ERP systems and document required manufacturing data.
• Assist with packing, labeling, and preparing finished goods for shipment.
• Identify and communicate nonconformances to senior technicians, quality personnel, or engineering staff.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure products meet quality and regulatory requirements.
