Job summary

DataX Connect is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a long-term, site-based role on a major life sciences construction programme in New York. The role involves planning, coordination and delivery of key construction packages, with strong emphasis on coordinating MEP and CSA scopes, cleanroom environments and regulatory quality standards.

The successful candidate will lead project meetings, manage interfaces with subcontractors and design teams, and ensure on-time, within-budget delivery

Qualifications

• 8+ years of total construction experience.
• 2+ years operating as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager.
• Strong life sciences construction experience in pharma/biotech/medical device/drug manufacturing.
• 18+ months on a pharmaceutical construction project with cGMP exposure.
• Cleanroom construction experience is essential.
• Previous experience with a General Contractor is required.
• Solid understanding of MEP and CSA scopes.
• Experience managing subcontractors, schedules, budgets, quality and project delivery.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work full-time on site.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day construction activities across assigned project scopes.
• Coordinate subcontractors, field teams, engineering and project stakeholders.
• Manage project schedules, milestones and short-term look-ahead programmes.
• Monitor project costs, change orders, procurement and commercial performance.
• Oversee both MEP and CSA construction scopes and interfaces.
• Support delivery of cleanroom and controlled-environment construction.
• Drive quality, safety and programme performance across the project.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change management and project documentation.
• Lead project meetings and communicate progress, risks and actions to senior stakeholders.
• Support commissioning, turnover and close-out activities where required.
• Ensure construction activities meet standards in a cGMP-regulated environment.
