Job summary

GForce Life Sciences in New York is seeking an Associate Project Manager (APM) to support capital projects from conceptualization through design, bidding, construction, commissioning and closeout.

Under supervision, you will coordinate scope, schedule and budgets with planning, design consultants and contractors, leading diverse projects requiring knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and shell construction. This role is a 12+ month contract onsite in Tarrytown, NY.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in project or construction management.
• Ground up construction experience required.

Responsibilities

• Reports project status and financial controls to supervisors.
• Manages engineering, design, construction, renovation, and facilities projects.
• Monitors design/construction to meet schedule and budget.
• Maintains budgets, cash flow analyses, and cost estimates; reviews purchase orders, change orders, and invoices.
• Identifies liabilities and risks.
• Develops and maintains project schedules; ensures time objectives are met.
• Maintains client, consultant, contractor, and vendor relationships; resolves conflicts.
• Communicates complex ideas to executives to gain alignment.
• Provides guidance in Facilities Project Management to less experienced staff.
