Job summary

Group PMX is seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager to lead planning, execution, and delivery of complex construction projects in Richmond, VA. You will oversee teams, budgets, schedules, and risk management across Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, R&D, or Healthcare sectors.

Responsibilities include coordinating design, construction, commissioning, and turnover, plus delivering executive-level reports on status and risks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 8+ years of construction project management experience, including leadership of large or complex projects.
• Direct experience managing Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, R&D, or Healthcare construction projects required.

Responsibilities

• Lead project planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and execution activities.
• Manage project teams, consultants, contractors, and client stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee project financials, including forecasting, cost control, change management, and reporting.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones and deliverables are achieved.
• Identify and mitigate project risks while proactively resolving issues.
• Review construction documents, contracts, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
• Conduct regular project meetings and provide clear communication to clients and leadership.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, regulatory, and project-specific requirements.
• Coordinate design, construction, commissioning, and turnover activities.
• Prepare executive-level reports and presentations on project status, budget, schedule, and risks.
