Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical or business field and/or 10 years in surface combatant design, construction, or repair.
• Minimum 10 years combined experience in Marine Engineering or Design, Navy or Fleet lifecycle support.
• U.S. Citizen able to obtain interim security clearance within 45 days.
• Familiarity with Planning Yard operations preferred.
• Experience with DDG 1000 class ships and Navy waterfront maintenance environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary on-site liaison between Planning Yard and Navy customer for DDG 1000 activities.
• Ensure contract requirements are delivered to standard as outlined in BIW BOS and DDG 1000 contract.
• Align priorities across internal teams, Navy stakeholders, and vendors to keep cost and schedule performance on track.
• Travel occasionally (typically 1-2 weeks at a time) for program reviews, conferences, and project-related meetings.
• Provide clear, data-driven updates and status reports to leadership and stakeholders.
