Job summary

Hensel Phelps is seeking an Assistance Facilities Manager to plan, organize, and direct facility maintenance across a large geographic area. You will oversee craft workers, supervise projects, and ensure compliance with building codes.

The role requires a 4-year degree and 6+ years of related experience, strong budgeting skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. On-site work is required, with the goal of improving safety and efficiency across the organization.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Facilities Management, or related discipline.
• 10 years of related work experience or a combination of education and work experience equaling 6 years or greater.
• In-depth understanding of Facilities Management processes and procedures.
• Advanced knowledge of DCBC, NFPA, TJC, OSHA and EPA.
• Strong budgeting and cost-control experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, organizing, and scheduling facility maintenance across a large campus.
• Oversee repair, installations, remodeling, and grounds projects with records management.
• Review remodeling plans for energy efficiency and proper construction methods.
• Supervise direct reports, set performance standards, coaching, and evaluations.
• Ensure facilities comply with state, federal, and local regulations and codes.
• Budgeting duties and reporting progress to the Site Director.
