Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Resident Project Representative to join our Building Engineering Services team in Texas. You will oversee on-site construction observation, documentation, and quality oversight on multidisciplinary data center projects, ensuring compliance with plans, specs, and standards.

As a key member of the project team, you’ll coordinate with contractors, clients, and inspectors, manage records, attend progress meetings, and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive construction experience on multidisciplinary projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications; strong contract knowledge.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; teamwork and collaboration.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Primavera; familiarity with construction packages.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings and specs; identify discrepancies.
• Maintain daily records of contractor activities, labor, equipment, and materials.
• Review materials for contract compliance.
• Track quantities and develop pay estimates.
• Attend or chair construction progress meetings.
• Observe installation and testing of equipment and systems.
• Identify nonconforming work; develop and maintain punchlists.
• Develop records for engineer review/acceptance.
• Assist with project audit and closeout.
• Work under Design Project Manager supervision.
• Supervise junior staff and inspectors, testing services, and subconsultants.
