Job summary

HDR is seeking a Resident Project Representative II to lead on-site construction observation, documentation, and quality oversight for complex projects in Texas. The role requires reviewing drawings, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring compliance with plans and specifications.

You will track progress, manage punch lists, and support closeout activities, reporting to the Design Project Manager while supervising junior staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or combination of education and relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years progressive construction experience on multidisciplinary projects.
• Familiarity with codes and laws governing construction; ability to read drawings.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications; identify discrepancies or conflicts.
• Maintain accurate daily records of contractor activities, labor, equipment and materials.
• Review construction materials for contract compliance; track quantities and develop pay estimates.
• Attend and/or chair construction progress meetings; observe installation and testing of equipment and systems.
• Identify nonconforming work and develop punch lists; support engineer reviews and closeout.
