Job summary

CORE Builders is seeking a Project Manager to lead a dedicated project team on-site in the San Francisco Bay Area. The role requires planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordination with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure project goals are met.

You will oversee resources, quality, safety, and compliance, while guiding junior staff and maintaining strong client relationships. The position emphasizes collaboration, proactive problem-solving, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management, with at least 2 years in an Assistant Project Manager role.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• In-depth knowledge of construction processes, project management methodologies, and safety regulations.
• Ability to supervise multiple personnel and manage project priorities simultaneously.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of the assigned construction project.
• Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation, ensuring alignment with client expectations and company goals.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.
• Manage project set-up, mobilization and project closeout.
• Understand and maintain compliance with insurance and prevailing wage requirements (as applicable to the project).
• Provide leadership and guidance to project team, including Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, Project Admin, and Site Team.
• Mentor and develop team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
• Conduct regular team meetings to review project progress, address challenges, and ensure effective communication.
• As the PM, serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project duration.
• Address client concerns and issues promptly, providing solutions that align with project and company goals.
• Manage client expectations and ensure that all deliverables meet or exceed client and company requirements.
• Oversee project budget, ensuring cost control and adherence to financial targets.
• Review expenditures and monitor financial performance, adjusting as necessary.
• Collaborate with Project Executive and Accounting team to prepare accurate financial reports and forecasts.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company standards.
• Conduct regular site walks with team to monitor quality, safety, and project progress.
• Lead the implementation of best practices in project management, seeking opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Participate in company-wide initiatives to enhance project delivery and client satisfaction.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation in project management.
