Job summary

The Arizona Department of Economic Security (DES) is seeking a Benefits and Eligibility Specialist Senior (Eligibility Interviewer Specialist) to join the FAA/DES on the Spot team. The position is on-site at the Key Campus in Glendale, with statewide case loads and normal weekday hours.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of federal and state laws, regulations, and procedures for public assistance programs.
• Strong communication, conflict resolution, mediation, and collaboration skills.
• Excellent use of Google, Microsoft Word, spreadsheets, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Perform senior-level SME tasks in policy and procedures for CA, NA, MA cases across sites.
• Carry out determinations per federal/state/program regulations and policies.
• Ensure timely completion of workload and program compliance.
• Review records for quality and refer questionable cases for investigation.
• Assist customers with disabilities and de-escalate conflicts when needed.
