Job summary

Whaley Foodservice seeks a Service Technician III to service and repair commercial cooking equipment. The technician holds multiple CFESA certifications and participates in an on-call roster while mentoring teammates.

Responsibilities include diagnosing complex equipment, documenting work via tablet, and ensuring parts availability. The role requires travel and strict adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• 5 years of applicable experience.
• Valid driver's license with safe driving record.
• CFESA certifications: electrical, gas, refrigeration, steam (three of four).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs gas, electric, water, refrigeration and steam powered commercial kitchen and HVAC equipment.
• Documents tasks via tablet in a timely manner.
• Communicates required repairs and status professionally to the customer.
• Uses proper tools for repair, including hand tools and power tools.
• Monitors truck stock to ensure required parts are stocked on vehicle.
• Maintains service vehicle, tools, and uniforms per company standards.
• Participates in on-call rotation including weekends and holidays.
• Obtains correct part numbers through branch parts person.
• Contributes positively to branch targets for response time and first-time fix rates.
• Participates in available training to increase skill and knowledge.
