Job summary

Seatrium Limited is seeking a Quality Control Engineer in Houston, TX, to ensure materials, equipment and services meet quality standards for safe offshore operations. You will oversee QC across procurement, fabrication, offshore installation and commissioning, and maintain change control and progress reports.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in offshore oil & gas, with advanced skills in cost estimating, project planning and SAP, and strong communication and analytical abilities.

Qualifications

• Four-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience of 5+ years in offshore oil & gas industry.
• Advanced level proficiency in Cost Estimating, Project Planning and Project Controls.
• Advanced experience with MS Office: (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Advanced experience with SAP.
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
• Impeccable interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills to assess quality issues, analyze data, and implement corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee quality control across procurement, fabrication, offshore installation and commissioning.
• Develop and implement quality control procedures, inspection checklists, and test plans.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and standards to ensure contract alignment.
• Manage documentation of inspection and test reports and other quality-related records.
• Maintain change control and cost reports; coordinate monthly progress reports.
• Ensure compliance with local and international quality standards, regulations and certifications.
• Prepare detailed quality control reports with findings and recommendations.
