Seatrium Limited is seeking a Quality Control Engineer in Houston, TX, to ensure materials, equipment and services meet quality standards for safe offshore operations. You will oversee QC across procurement, fabrication, offshore installation and commissioning, and maintain change control and progress reports.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years in offshore oil & gas, with advanced skills in cost estimating, project planning and SAP, and strong communication and analytical abilities.
The Quality Control Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all materials, equipment, and services comply with quality standards and specifications required for safe and efficient operations. The QC Engineer will oversee quality control processes across various stages of the project lifecycle, from procurement and fabrication to offshore installation and commissioning. Responsible for maintaining change control, cost reports, etc. Coordinate and assemble the monthly progress reports Ensure all engineering and construction activities meet the required quality standards and specifications. Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards to confirm that they align with contract requirements. Develop and implement quality control procedures, inspection checklists, and test plans. Manage the documentation of inspection and test reports and other quality-related documentation. Ensure compliance with local and international quality standards, regulations, and certifications. Prepare detailed quality control reports, including findings, actions, and recommendations for management review. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inspections, tests, certifications, and compliance checks.
