Job summary

A Houston-based engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design systems for oil and gas facilities. The ideal candidate will have a BS in Mechanical Engineering, at least 15 years of experience, and a strong background with ASME and API Codes. Responsibilities include designing mechanical systems, providing engineering support, and ensuring compliance with government regulations. Qualifications

• Minimum of fifteen years of mechanical engineering experience including upstream offshore projects.
• P.E. is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with offshore engineering/fabrication practices and trends, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems for oil and gas production facilities.
• Provide engineering support by answering questions from vendors and clients.
• Maintain product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
• Develop conceptual/preliminary designs for customer requirements.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines for cost-effective designs.
• Review and check all drawings prior to construction issue.
