Job summary

WSP is seeking a Lead Offshore Environmental Compliance Manager to support our Earth & Environment Team on offshore construction projects in New York and New Jersey. You will oversee field teams, ensure environmental compliance, and support real-time decisions with vessel crews and construction managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Marine Science, Ecology, Natural Resources, or related field.
• 10+ years of environmental fieldwork, construction monitoring, marine surveys, or offshore environmental compliance.
• Strong understanding of offshore/coastal ecosystems and marine sensitivities.
• Experience coordinating with vessel crews, offshore contractors, and marine specialists.

Responsibilities

• Oversee offshore construction environmental inspection teams and support real-time decision-making in field conditions.
• Review method statements for in-water construction activities (jet trenching, dredging, cable lay, diver operations).
• Prepare offshore environmental deliverables and support agency notification workflows.
• Maintain regulatory-compliant documentation and QA/QC oversight.
