Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Senior Offshore Environmental Compliance Manager to support Earth & Environment efforts for offshore construction projects in New York and New Jersey. The role emphasizes field execution, real-time decision support with vessel crews, and environmental monitoring to ensure regulatory compliance.

You will lead inspection teams, coordinate with offshore contractors, prepare compliance deliverables, and review in-water construction methods while traveling extensively to mobilize

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental-related field.
• 5–7 years of relevant field experience.
• Experience with offshore environmental compliance and marine surveys.
• Ability to lead field teams and coordinate with vessel crews.
• Knowledge of BOEM/BSEE, NMFS, USACE requirements.
• Willingness to travel 100% and offshore deployment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee marine-based environmental inspection teams on NY/NJ construction segments.
• Coordinate with vessel crews and marine specialists.
• Review method statements for in-water construction methods.
• Prepare offshore environmental deliverables and support agency notifications.
• Resolve real-time offshore compliance issues with vessel supervisors.
• Maintain environmental compliance documentation.
• Lead QA/QC and safety adherence.
