Job summary

Poutrix seeks an Assistant Resident Engineer/Senior Office Engineer with 10 years of experience to join our Water Division on a NYCDEP construction project in Yonkers, NY. The role focuses on construction oversight, coordination with design teams, and leading meetings with the client and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has NYC project experience, an EIT, and a NY PE license (active). The position emphasizes safety, quality, and proactive construction administration within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as an Office Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer for NYC projects.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification.
• Demonstrated commitment to providing a safe and healthful workplace.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day construction oversight and AR/Assistant Resident Engineer efforts on the NYCDEP upgrade contract.
• Assist the Construction Manager and/or Resident Engineer in managing inspection staff and daily inspector reports.
• Act as liaison to design staff, respond to RFIs, and review shop drawings.
• Lead meetings and prepare agendas/minutes; supervise staff and mentoring.
