Job summary

Clover Health is seeking a Senior Application Security Engineer to break Counterpart Assistant before anyone else does. This is a hands-on offensive security role on the Eng Core team, focusing on hunting vulnerabilities in a widely used primary care tool during live patient visits.

You will mentor engineers, review critical PRs, and collaborate with SRE and corporate security to establish defensive strategies and robust disaster recovery.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering and 4+ years focused on application security.
• Proven ability to identify vulnerabilities with custom tooling you’ve built.
• Experience using AI to find vulnerabilities and guardrails for safe usage.

Responsibilities

• Actively hunt for and close security vulnerabilities across Counterpart Assistant.
• Harden systems, services, and endpoints; establish strong security monitoring.
• Safeguard PHI and monitor deidentification practices; close leakage paths.
