Job summary

HealthEquity, Inc. is seeking a Principal Security Engineer, AI Offensive Security, to build and operate agentic systems that discover, validate, and remediate vulnerabilities across web apps and cloud environments.

You will translate offensive security techniques into scalable automation, integrating tooling, APIs, and CI/CD while aligning with governance and human-in-the-loop controls. You will collaborate with Cyber Threat Intelligence, Security Engineering, and Vulnerability Management teams

Qualifications

• Hands-on offensive security and production software experience.
• Experience building AI-enabled workflows and agentic systems.
• Familiarity with APIs, cloud services, CI/CD, and data pipelines.
• Ability to document processes and automate repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain offensive security agents automating recon and validation.
• Develop agentic workflows for attack surface and vulnerability management.
• Integrate security tooling with ticketing, asset inventories, and CI/CD.
• Apply governance and human-in-the-loop controls in AI-enabled security.
• Validate findings, reproduce issues, and assist risk prioritization.
• Collaborate with Cyber Threat Intelligence and Vulnerability teams.
