Job summary

PACCAR's Kenworth division seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer for the Off-Highway team. You will work on new designs, product enhancements, and cost-reduction projects from concept through production, focusing on heavy-duty truck components.

You will use Creo Parametric to model frames, crossmembers, drivetrains and suspensions, collaborate with suppliers and plants, and travel up to 10%. This role requires 5-7+ years of experience and a strong background in automotive design.

Qualifications

• BSME degree required; MS preferred.
• 5–7+ years of experience in the specification and design of complex automotive components.
• Proficient in Creo Parametric and solid modeling; GD&T knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design and development of heavy-duty trucks within Off-Highway/Medium Duty Group.
• Manage Plant Liaison Requests (PLRs) for the group and develop design fixes.
• Lead new product, warranty and cost-reduction projects; support plant/field issue resolution in frame area.
