Job summary

CAPITAL CONSULTING LLC is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer focused on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) for a DoD Air Force program. The role is remote and requires active secret clearance, Security+ CE, and OCI certification.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required and current.
• DoD 8140 baseline security+ CE certification current.
• 10+ years in cloud engineering or infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with OCI production workloads.
• Current OCI certification (Architect Associate/Professional).
• Kubernetes production experience; OKE a plus.
• Terraform or IaC tooling experience.
• Strong Linux skills and enterprise workload support.
• Knowledge of RMF, NIST, FedRAMP, or FISMA frameworks.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher; related experience may substitute.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and run OCI-focused cloud architectures in a regulated DoD environment.
• Architect, implement, and operate secure, scalable cloud solutions in multi-cloud with AWS/Azure.
• Lead migrations from on-prem to OCI with minimal downtime.
• Build and manage Kubernetes platforms, including upgrades and lifecycle.
• Develop CI/CD and DevSecOps pipelines with automated security scanning.
• Implement IaC with Terraform across OCI and other clouds.
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and DR planning.
• Design cloud networking, hybrid connectivity, and IAM controls.
• Collaborate with DBAs, security, and government stakeholders; provide technical leadership.
• Document architectures, decisions, and compliance mappings.
