Job summary

PACS is seeking a Staff Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients, coordinate with families and physicians, and maintain documentation in medical records. The role includes in-services and training for facility staff on an ongoing basis.

The therapist will supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants, develop treatment plans, participate in care conferences, and assist with discharge planning to promote patient independence and optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
• Advanced OT degree (Masters/Doctorate) preferred.
• Proficiency with Casamba and Point Click Care software.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients within 24 hours of referral or document delay with cause.
• Develop and obtain approval for physician-referred treatment plans.
• Supervise COTA and aides in direct patient care.
• Record evaluations and progress per state practice act and policies.
